My cheating days are over...

So my daily driver of 4 years has been a Wrangler Sahara 4 door. Good truck all in all. Recently started making an engine noise that I thought was a noisy valve. Not so... My guy found out it was a throw out bearing. 60k perfectly maintained miles since new and this... Here's the kicker though, it's happening to a BUNCH of them. It's all over the jeep forums that JK motors are going bad. I was lucky and caught it early. A thousand bucks later I saved the motor. She is for sale as we speak. My first and last experience with Jeep. Can it be possible that I love my 90 even more? Sorry for cheating on you old girl...

Throwout bearing is part of the clutch, not the engine.

Still thinking about the replacement. Wife is so proud of me for shedding a vehicle... I have the 90 and an old Chevy Z71 to tide me over. I am working on my father to sell me his G 500. Shhhh don't tell the wife.

Funny, I had an '83 CJ7 that had the exact same problem, twice. Dumped it and moved over to Rovers and never looked back, of course, there have been times I did scratch my head though, like when my '04 DII blew the HG at 80K.

Saw a newish G wagon convertible on the road here in CT today.. quite jealous of how the top seals compared to the bestop the D90. Also my heat doesn't work so I was driving around in gloves and winter gear.

I would think about cheating with that or this http://copleymotorcars.com/mercedes_...55.5vo903.html but ultimately would go back to the 90.

Yes, I was not in on the warranty deal as I was one of the first buyers. While it was in the shop dad gave me the G500 to drive. I have to say the celeb/pimp factor seeped in. I could not beleive the attention that thing gathers! Women I do business with (and know I am happily married) asked for a ride , or to at least peek inside. Last weekend the local high school girls lacross team was doing a car wash. One girl asked if she could wash it for free. Anyway, I live in an town where an Aston is not a rare site, but for an honest off-roader to get that attention.... I want it... Dammit!

They are not far off in family history. If Rover ever decided to lux out a 110 it would be pretty close. I think it is pretty amazing that MB has the balls to continue to produce and sell the G. Especially here.
