I guess it's all about timing. $1g for that rig is a great deal. How's the bulkhead and the underside of the bonnet? If any of the screws on the treadplate on the front drivers side are rusty, you may want to pull that off, peel back the carpet and inspect...

For 1k who cares, drive it and enjoy. Sounds like a hell of a deal!

Such a steal! I would hope that he would have done that prior to buying it. Well, maybe not for a grand ;-)

I had the seller do that for me before I even drove out to look at either of mine.

I've dealt with rusty RRC floor boards before. I'm sure there are some issues hidden in this one, but the fact that there is no tailgate rust, and the frame is not only rust free, but clean....

Once I get a chance to get it in the garage, or have a warm, dry day.......

This will be the vehicle I drive off and on when I am working on the Defender or Series. I don't want it to really be a project. Just going to take care of it, and let the kids have it to drive in high school. After that, then I may look into a restoration of sorts.

That's the plan with my 95 RRC too - well all of them for that matter. They will be for me to work on and drive until my son is driving age in 2 yrs. I picked him up from school yesterday for the first time in it when his buddies were around and they got to see it. As he was climbing in with his school bag/boat anchor he struggled a little because I lifted it - I need to get some sliders on or he needs to get taller. I heard a commotion as we were driving away, 'What was that about?' He said, 'Oh, they were just saying I like your truck!' Makes me happy he'll have a fun ride in HS ..

Nice. I would've gone for that over the 4 runner I just picked up (for the same $$).
