MUD-UK on the Road in the US

Hi

I've just shipped our 110 Pop Top camper from the UK into the US and next week will be commencing an 8-week coast to coast adventure on the Trans-America-Trail or TAT.

I'm aiming to be at the National Rally in Moab in September and will be deviating from the TAT at various points to take in trails in the G Canyon, Death Valley etc

If you see a silver Defender on UK plates, give us a wave. I may even let you buy me a beer in exchange for a sticker!

If you go off the path enough to go through Austin, Texas a good place to go is Sherlock's on Burnet.

Mud-UK-USA!

Hopefully the truck was full of new kit to finance your trip!

Just now in Birmingham, UK and picked up a 110 van cab to take back over to my work address, Germany. I am sure I will contribute to the US trip via my online purchases.

Have fun, and enjoy the US. Post pics!

Probably not going to be in Portland OR on Sep 3 but if you are the All British Field Meet will be happening. Generally attracts around 1000 British autos and bikes. Land Rover is the
featured mark this year!
Safe Travels!

Are you starting in Asheville? If so, you should swing by the Biltmore first, and we can give you a proper send off, like we did for TC and crew

Hi Matt

We could make that work!

Truck arrived in Charleston on Monday this week. I fly into Charleston Tuesday next week where I have three nights to sort my shit out before setting off. US Customs permitting...

We could aim for Friday/Sat at Biltmore.

I'll drop you a PM with my cellphone number.

Kev

Welcome and have a safe journey/Holiday. Death Valley is likely to still be warm in October but better than now! Badwater road is open all the way through now but you won't get to Scotty's Castle until 2019 is the estimated time frame. If you can swing onto the Mojave Rd. from the Grand Canyon. It was an Indian foot path in the prehistory era, then the Spaniards used it in the 1700's and eventually 49ers and Route 66 runs nearby.
