Got the same e-mail. Yeah it is kinda spaming as I did not ask to be put on an e-mail list. They should have posted or at least asked people first. I know they want to let everyone know they finished their stuff, but mass e-mailing is not the best way to make friends.

MotoSource Apologies

Hey everyone out there,

Sorry for the "Spamming". My sincere intention was just to send out an announcement regarding the door hinges. Not to offend or annoy any of you. My enthusiasm got in the way of better judgement. I didn't think about the email's potential to create a problem or an inconvience to any members. I had no idea the picture files were a nusense to open. I just was excited to finally have these door hinges available to ship, many of you had expressed interest in them in the early stages of development and I wanted you all to know they were ready. They are a great improvement over stock and I wanted you all to know first hand.
Once again please accept my most sincere apologies. I am committed to the Land Rover community and design and market products to preserve these unique and awesome vehicles. My respect for the "Defender Community" is held at high regard and in no way do i want to create any negative vibes amongst any of you. I copied all of the addresses from the owner bios, and in no way had any intent to create the negative feedback the emails did. I am thankful for all of the support you all have given our products in the past and look forward to the future serving you.

Regards, Tony Sikorsky

You violated several state and federal laws by not including an unsubscribe.

I reported you to the PA attorney general and the feds under CANSPAM.

Enjoy your fines!

I hope it was worth it.

Due to the amount of complaints I recieved privately, as well as violation of site and Vendor policies, administrative action has been taken regarding this issue. I have emailed with Tony explaining what was being done and, after the administrative action is lifted, hopefully he will continue to participate within the community in the appropriate Vendors Loft section, for any future product announcements we hope to see from him.

To try and further reduce the possibilty of future unwanted mass emailings from people gathering information on the site, I will be removing the email addresses from all the Owners Bio sections as soon as possible.

This issue is to be considered "delt with". I would appreciate it if people please refrain from any more hostile postings towards Tony. He knows he messed up as do the rest of us.

Thank you

CVC
