More marketable hardtop color?

I know I asked this before, but I have to paint stuff and was wondering if people thought I could sell an all alpine white hardtop better or one with yellow sides and liftgate and an alpine white top. I thought the former because it would work on all color trucks, but I would be interested to hear what others think. The hardtop is just a stopgap measure until I can finish the 110 and then the 90 will be topless fulltime.

I think you answered your own question - go all white if resale is the goal.

Can someone photochop a 90 to see what it would look like with yellow at the bottom only and a white roof and sides and liftgate?

It would look like a Series III

+1 on the white being better for resale by a wide margin, but IMO it would look bad on a 90.

From the man who thought this was a good paint scheme.

http://www.eastcoastrover.com/ECR4powerstroke.html

I have a white windscreen frame (humm, wonder what that came off of -- thanks mike for the donor parts) so I can make it look somewhat right save the black door tops.

Ok, so I guess I need to get my hardtop from Ren Ching to make up my mind. Dave, its almost winter ....

Ron, it would look very bad. Yellow is a light color, then adding another light color, white is too much. you need two colors, one dark, one light. And please don't paint the rims the same color as the truck unless its black, white or army green.

No, that was Jim.

I put two different shades of green doors on her and then painted the outside of the back ones sort of the right red with rattle cans.

No, not really. Those doors were just to get it across the country. I bought the red spray paint for them and passed it on the cgalpin, but, as far as I know, the fronts are still yellow

True... but there was an inside story behind that paint job. It wasn't something I thought up for resale.

You said resale though, and I agree my tastes for my own crap and resale are 2 very different things.

Am I the only one who thinks we are all overlooking the most obvious answer for resale? Why not just paint it the original Anthracite Grey that people expect? White certainly expands the number of potential buyers, as opposed to yellow; however, I think a lot of buyers would be hesitant to take a chance on the look.

It is an aluminium hardtop. Currently the top portion has worn some kind of off white paint and the sides are dark green.

Gotcha, I thought we were talking about a fiberglass hardtop. I would lean towards white then.
