If someone glued the front clip from an Explorer to a Ford Flex and painted it school bus yellow, you'd have your concept vehicle.

I want rugged and utilitarian with diesel options. I don't want a 50K grocery getter.

I made this in an hour a few years ago when the dc100 concept came out. Took cues from the LR3/4. I think there is too much evoque in the coffee over there.

The plan to use wheel/bolt patterns compatable with the Land Cruiser and Hilux is smart and very encouraging....

More hearsay, but a friend of mine's wife is working on the interior. All my friend has said is that the interior is "really nice". Judging by the fact that he doesn't like my 110 or 90 at all...

FJ > FJ Cruiser
H1 > H2, H3
Pre 2016 Defender > 2016+ Defender

There's supposed to be a Defender Sport version too. Boo. Have you seen what they did with the new Disco! Double boo. To each their own.

There are apparently going to be upwards of 12 different variants available between a 90 & 110 model. All the way from mall crawler to rock crawler.

BRING IT!!!!!

If the actual vehicle looks anything like the concepts and has a diesel power plant I'd sign up to buy one now.
I actually like my LR3 even if its pretty plush and my wife doesn't like my Defender. If they come up with a vehicle that has the performance of the Defender but some of the comfort of an LR3 I think it would be a good compromise. (I'll keep the Defender - and the two Series trucks - of course)

Once again.... The drawing is NOT from Land Rover. It is something autoblog dreamt up... Land Rover has released nothing.

I'd be happy if they just upgraded the heater and made it more water tight. Everything else could stay as is.

Don't read to much into that, they already make 90, 110, 130 in two body specs. With 90 and 110 in 3 interior specs. So they have 12 of the current model. Then it depends if you drive it to the mall or the trail. Marketing is....well, marketing.

Defender, Defender Sport and Defender SVR is what I hear. How is it that Jeep is doing way better in the concept market than LR!?!

My friend had the Jeep Nukizer this summer and we traded for a weekend. What a blast that thing was. I'm not sure the feelings were mutual when he had my IIA. Honestly, why can LR come up with cool stuff like this...
