While Dan and I have had a tiff or two, without him things are just not the same.

As long as the technical board and classifieds other than fleemarket stay clean (and they have), I don't see an issue.

PS when was D-90 sold and why didn't anyone tell me? I would have bought it to keep it out of the hands of some corporation which would spam us with advertising etc.

This may shock some but Dan is really a good guy.

I think banning him would be a loss.

When did this place get bought out? Also I don't think I'm that heavy handed on moderating on LRO...

Red D90 is right, this place has turned into a cesspool of distasteful comments, racial insensitivity and unadulterated unacceptable tom foolery. <watches barry light a cross on fire>

Everyone knows I would sooner build an interment camp for one than burn a cross.

I'm also curious about this. On another board I was on, the owner went to sell it without even asking the longtime members if they were interested... or even the mods for that matter. He found out later that he could have made a decent pile of cash had he just asked.

My guess is in the upper teens, low 20's if bought by a Company like the one who owns LRO

they turn those sites in an advertising whore, Their ROI is estimated to be 400% and then let the thing go to shit if they have too ( those were the exact words given to me when I spoke with the Owner of LRO )

I knew about this site been sold and was too surprised it was not offered to us, I mean a group of us could have dropped some coins to keep it out of the possible BS to come.

I know there are 2 sites already created , ready to be unleashed should this site goes south

HA!! Chapman I have to ask, do you have any desire to own a defender? No denying you are knowledgeable. I just have little interest on being on discoweb because I don't have one or want one. Are you on rangerover sites too? Any other boards?

You could not pay me to drive another Defender. They are about the shittiest vehicle I've ever fucked with. Everything about them sucks.

I do like they way they look, though.

I'm on a lot of web forums.
