Moar UPS awesomeoness

Trevor from Rovah Farm sent me some parts 2nd-day from Arkansas on the 12th. And yes, this is how UPS does 2nd-day delivery. I guess if they deliver to THEMSELVES within 2 days, but forget to take it to the customer, it's still ok.

The driver fed up.

I had issues with UPS and they fixed the problem.

They should refund you the 2-Day rate because they failed to delivery in 2 days? Plus the contents value.

Sounds about right for UPS in this area; I've been on the phone with them 3 times over the past month for like issues. "Out for Delivery" as a status, for two weeks, was a personal favorite.

The discussion about how I'd have to ask the shipper to start an investigation was also priceless:
"So you can see that this has been unaccounted for over the past two weeks"
"yes"
"So why don't you investigate it"
"we'd need the shipper to ask for that"
"Because you can't see that you have an issue here?"
"Well, we'd need the shipper b/c they shipped it..."

Horrible.

This is why I only ship packages to my office.

ITs cheaper and they get there on one piece on a sinlge truck only responsible for our building

It took me 4 month to get my issue resolved. At the end the guy on the phone saw that it was their mistake and not mine.

You probably did this... But, next time it's out for delivery and you don't get it. Call immediately.

I got the same thing from them. I thought that was kind of a weird way to go about it. What does the shipper care? They already have their money.

Yeah, you're right - but I've NEVER had a shipping problem like this, so I was sorta floored. And that meant inaction.

The problem is that I need that flasher relay to pass inspection. Guess the truck will be sitting in the driveway for another two weeks.

That's pretty funny.. And I think that we have enough D.C. area Rover-cranks to justify a local parts store..
