Moab Visit

Heading through Moab area on my way home from Afghanistan (long way around). Im going to spend 2 days in the area in mid September. Thought about parking the 90 and walking in and camping for the night or taking the vic into the back country.

Not at all familiar with the area but Id like to do some sight seeing (Arches?) and clear my thoughts.

Any suggestions for cool sites or routes would be appreciated.

Keith

I used to live in Moab when I was very young, 1973. There is a lot to see and do all over that area.

The hike to Delicate Arch is cool and a good distance. Plenty of trails to see natural bridges/arches.

The one thing I would suggest is this drive, it is awsome. Cisco is now a ghost town, for the most part.

man lots of tourist hot spots obvi, def take your truck and run the easy trails. If you have been in afganisthan you can use a map obvi, pick up the local quad and hike to the most appealing topo breaks. there is so much to see out there and on your way home you could spend a month easy. Take the Rover as many places as possible, or as many places you can get yourself out of!

Welcome back, thanks for your time.
