I agree. I generally buy from the dealer b/c I work there and get great prices, but if anything isn't available ie: the seat box, rear doors, bulkhead and b/c pillars that I needed I call him. I bought all those things from him, he gave me great information and shipped all the stuff out quickly and very well packed all at a great price!

I can't say enough good about George. IMO anyone who decides not to buy from him b/c of his sense of humor is just cutting off their nose to spite their face.

George has been a friend not only to those from this site, but to the entire Rover community for many many years. He is an established, and well respected, supplier of Rover parts and once you get to know him, would understand his sense of humor.

BTW that opinion is from someone not in his back pocket.

[QUOTE=Erimus 1]I'm Canadian am I? Interesting assumption. If you're going to personally critisize, have the tumerity to at least get your facts straight. In the defense of Canadians, isn't that kind of attitude a little unfair on them? You should really try to refrain from having a pop at non-Americans as they'll undoubtedly find your generalisation extremely offensive.

You mean temerity, eh hosehead?

It sounds like he had a few of you Roverheads thumbing trhough your wish list. We all fall for some stupid thing now and then. It's nice to see one of the vendors with a sense of humor.

As for the owner from Ontario, Canada. Just because it says Canada doesn't mean he is Canadian. He could be Filipino, Guatamalian, Russian, Jamaican, Ethiopian, Japanese or British. If I say I am from Compton California does that mean I do drive bys in my '64 while driving down Crenshaw?

Listen Chaps, I have every right to have a dig at a fellow Englishman, especially as he got me Royal. I sent a long winded email and everything the night before the 'sale', asking for all sorts of parts and even got up early in the morning to beat everyone else to the phone. 'Dammit' I said at the time.

Anyhow, I'm really glad I was able to bolster the business of a fellow Englishman, not that he needs any help mind.

RDS ruined my life.

And I did not even have to get up early for it to happen.

If you all send me a postal money order for 20$ I'll post a picture of George. USPS money order, no Nigerian.

JP

He'll be wearing sweats grabbing his crotch like a ballplayer. Not servicing his RRC.

I put Maggie up there so there would at least be a British option for the guy who believed me when I said that George and I went to the same boarding school.
