Mission Impossible

Mission Impossible....not sure if this has been posted. Looks like a white 94 ST at the 2:15mark.

It was in an airport scene in the last trailer which means it must be their vehicle in the movie.

That stunt video was crazy. Those comments are too funny- one of them said something like 'I'm sure that's not the first tall hard thing Tom has climbed'. LOL!

It looks like a NAS D90. In one scene, it has the basket removed and the rear ladder is not attached to the crossbars. In another scene, it has the safari basket mounted.

It was great watching them drive around in the D90. The rear seats were the center facing 'cause they had a relatively long conversation in it.

A NAS D90 in Dubai is completely feasible considering all the money in the region.

I saw the movie over the weekend and it is a 1997 (automatic) that had no rack basket the first time it is on screen, then when they drive it to the airport the rack basket is on it. It did have roll up doors in the interior scenes.

Those movies are so unrealistic. Everyone knows you can't drive a d90 with a roof basket to an airport. Jeez.

Haven't seen it yet either but, I bet Tom fit quite nicely in the back of a D90.

I saw the movie the other night as well...(not together....that would be soooo gay..).. and I thought it was VERY good...I think they tamed down the unbelievable factor and made it more "realistic".. some very cool action shots and enough comedy to make it fun...I probably think I would say...the best MI yet. As messed up as some may say Tom Cruise is with his scientology thing is I think he really is a good actor.....and he was porking Nicole Kidman...you wanna talk about freaking HOT.... but she has to be...she's a fellow Aussie...LOL....

Strange continuity errors. There are either two trucks or mods happened mid shoot.... The rollup windows and sliding windows are seconds apart in the same scene.

I nearly pulled the trigger on a 97 NAS D90 Alpine White ST this summer. I found it on Craigslist LA; the owner claimed he was in the film industry and had purchased the truck for work along with a few others. He said that he never drove it, but had bought it from the original owner and had shipped it to and back from Dubai/Middle East (can't remember exactly) in a container for a movie. I never bothered to ask what film, and I decided to go with a SW instead. I'll try to find the pics on my computer to see if you guys think it might be one of 'em, can't imagine too many NAS D90's running around the Middle Earth. I'm guessing this was one of the D90s in this Scientology film...

I haven't seen the movie... but the 4th screen shot on Red90's post looks like a fiberglass hard top, no? The gent's D90 referenced above had all the stock LR stuff; SD rack/ladder, front wrap bumper and winch, barely used soft top, and fiberglass hard top. He did mention he had other D90s on the project I believe.

Yes a fiberglass hardtop.

Crazy to ship it to Dubai and back!!! Why not just grab a new one from the dealer locally?

Looked like NAS truck. It was white and the front markers looked larger and square (Japanese spec are smaller and more oval).

It also has SW interior cage AND padding but it had a SW hardtop rear (NOT POE). Weird.

The BMW exotic electric hybrid was gay.

Yeah, and he didn't ship just one either. But I don't think the budget was of too much concern.

I think I flunked out on my picture deal right now...I think I deleted them a while back during a HD dump. Arggggg.

So would I have been able to use the word "Rare" if I had purchased this Defender? In all seriousness, would it have caused the value to increase if it was a documented truck in a Mission Impossible film? Or perhaps decrease the value with TC in it?

The owner, Ken, had it listed here for a while but posted no pics. His handle here was mi4. Guess it was that truck! Now, whos going to buy the thing now that it is officially a "rare" truck?
