Mini crushed in NJ with LR mentioned

Good thing customs is catching these. We wouldn't want road worthy imports on the road. Only 25 garbage imports will due......

I just had a truck take 40 some odd days to clear @ Newark. They are taking their time and making certain the imports are what they are supposed to be.

Clearly there's far less border leakage in NJ than AZ. I know I will sleep better.

Storage goes to the terminal/port auth and customs has zero sensitivity to that expense. Ea shipping line have different deals cut with ea port, kind of like airlines and airports. The line I used for that truck gets 7 days free before storage costs kick in so it was actually 50 days and 43 days storage. $600 and some odd dollars. Client is in RI and set out yesterday morning to get to Newark (less than 175 miles) and never made it due to total gridlock in NYC on the approach to the Washington bridge yesterday so I'm working on finding a transporter to pick it up and deliver to him in RI.

I think we all agree, total waste of tax payers money. I can ride a motorcycle with no helmet legally but can't own a Defender because it doesn't have airbags. Texting and driving is more Dangerous than this mini. I see that all day long with the view from my Raptor while I'm driving.

If the federal government wants to do significantly reduce accidents through safety mandates, then they should do away with automatic transmission, so drivers need to hands in traffic.

a better way would be to either make handsfree built into all vehicles or put a blocker in so that talking on the phone and texting were disabled. Number of accidents would plummet
You can't import a seat belt that doesn't have a DOT approval but no quad of motorcycle has any form of safety gear. The bold contradictions within our government are astounding

Let's face it your vote has been superseded by commercial lobbyists... The contradictions are simply the politicians protecting their donors.
