Thanks fr all the well wishes guys. As for selling the truck, she's the one who bought it (it was a serious factor in marrying here lol). I'm sure she will push the mustang out the door first. At least she drives the land rover. The mustang just takes her garage spot up lol!

Kinda funny that i wasnt the only one fixing his land rover in a hotel parking lot the day after the wedding!

Just about to board the plane. I'm out! (Unless i see a rover on the honeymoon. Then I'll deff post up)

Congrats! Have a great trip.

My wife is very supportive also and we actually purchased 2 Land Rovers a few days before we got married in the U.K.

Adrian - congrats! That came up so quick - it felt like yesterday you were talking about the big day back on the Rausch trip.

Not sure if you are checking the board on you trip but enjoy the honeymoon - sounds like you are going to some amazing places.

Very cool it was on Friday. That sunset was the most rad thing I have seen in a long time. I was zipping thru Red Bank heading east and the sky just filled the mirrors with awesome colors. Must be a sign!

Wives do love Landies but as they get older you might have to get them in a Rangie or don't lift the Defender and put it on 35's and always have something apart on it,

Goes by fast. Next thing you know you'll have a few rug rats and it will take you 3 days to catch up on threads on the D-90 board, haha.

When you get back and settled down will have to get the Barnacles trip going. Airborne - will hit you up too and see if you are around.

O yea and the trip is great so far. A lot of good dining. Relaxed the first day and a half. Drove round the island yesterday and hit up some real scenic spots. Today spent the morning surfing on the south point and now chilling until dinner. Will prob go back to crane beach or archer bay tomorrow. We found some really nice secluded beaches.

O yea and our Toyota vitz rental car is slower than shit, but short wheelbase (like 60") is great for k turns and doesn't bottom out too often lol

Adrian,
Congrats! I wouldn't trade being married for the world, I landed a keeper who put up with my crap until I figured out how much crap I had and started to fix that problem. Get all the vacations/trips out of the way before kids as they create wonderful memories as you are changing your 19 month's old totally destoyed diaper. And...having Jax was the best thing that has every happened to me since my wedding day.
O...when we were dating, Joanne actually had to give me a push as the 75 MG midget's starter was taking a crap.

Kids :)

Bossman,

Congrats on the Wedding........My wife and I drove away from my wedding 13 years ago in my Defender.......and we still have it!

One thing about kids..........if the wife gets irritated about a repair or down time needed to fix something on the Defender - but if you have some kids that really, REALLY love the truck - it makes her more forgiving How cute are 'us boys' in the picture attached

There is a kids book called Fender the Defender. Now my sons call my Defender, FENDER. My sons love FENDER. They think he has 'heart'. I have strapped a car seat in front (no airbags) and a booster in the back. Our whole family goes out it it at times. It is my kids car of choice to be in. I smile all the time when they say "Dad, this is one nice truck!"

Time goes so fast once you have kids.........so when you get to that point........enjoy every minute!

Thanks! Surf was great. About 3-4.5 ft. Broke way out from shore. Had some nice long rides

Damn app. Hit send too quick. It was pretty clean and rather empty. I'm told it gets big in another month or so but this was perfect for me. Way different than home, and nice because it was still relatively sandy with minimal corral and rocks

Give them a few more years and they will be under the truck with you helping fix it.
