It would bring me much joy when you do get back in the saddle. I've been out for too long.

No no brother. You know I always go back to my previous customers first! We didn't make any syrup this year. The weather conditions were not right for the small operations. If you were doing it full time and boiling sap every day, you could turn sap to syrup before it spoiled. But since we boil down on the weekends only, the hot days would have spoiled the sap. And that can spoil all of your syrup sadly. I remind myself that its agricultural and some years just suck. This was the first in many many years we couldn't do it.

That's hilarious. I had no idea. I recently was at Tuthilltown distillery where they had two bourbon barrel aged syrups for sale, one from Vt and one form Canada. Price for 12 oz is $35 USD, unreal.

Oh yeah its on early in So. NH. Several good runs last three weeks. Dunno if it'll shut off with the early warm weather though.

Well yeah, I'll keep you updated. Since I'm back conus timing worked well and I was able to tap about 100 or so. Things were frozen up this week but looks like we will have a few runs this week and see what this weekend has to offer for production. I'd rather my liquid gold go to my defender family versus some stranger on the side of the road so if we have enough to sell, you are in. I generally hold 10 gallons out for personal consumption and family and sell off the rest!
