Josh, I bought some Grade B syrup at Trader Joe's to give it a shot. The label claims that it's darker and has more maple flavor. I thought it would be good for yogurt. What do you think of Grade B syrup and do you produce any?

Chris, I like trader joes syrup. Just make sure what you get is always "100% pure" because just like Honey, the retail market has many different blends of stuff.

The grade of syrup is simply done by color but it's a neat thing. A tree can give grade A and B over a season depending on the weather and time the sap flows. Often you get grade A syrup early in the season and B for the rest. I personally love grade BA for what you say. It takes a little longer to condense hence the color being darker and so the flavor is a bit richer IMO. We don't sell any of our stuff based on grade so I officially don't label our stuff one or the other. It usually IS grade B though because for convenience I bottle many batches at once which mixes batches. It all tastes good to me hahahaha

I've just run out. The wife wasted the last of it on Eggos.

And I need to replace the lost-in-the-mail batch from last year.

USPS has been pretty crap recently. I've had lots of the 2-3 day things be 5 days, shipping or receiving. Sucks!

USPS is the only thing that delivers to an APO address. Otherwise it's €€€ for shipping plus customs etc.

Awww man. Gents, I actually lost access to my sugarbush this year! Land owners changed and live out of state and I couldn't reach them in time to start getting a couple hundred taps in. Soooo sadly, it will be the first season I have taken off since I started
