It's all jelly beans and cotton candy here!! Jeff you wouldn't have caught that if you stored your spares in the garage instead of behind it!

I'll amend my previous statement...I do need to hit the Overland trail...it's been awhile. Somewhere, anywhere...

I have a friend that grew up in the UK (pre socialism days). We were talking about politics here and he made the comment that people in the UK were very friendly while he was a growing up. As a young adult all the social programs rolled in (and the associated taxes to pay for them) and people became less friendly and less tolerant. Kind of like what is happening here in the US.

~40% income tax and 20% sales tax will make you grumpy.

Far from it this week…

Finally got the last bit of stuff crammed into our container (still missing a couple items due to supplier delays)

Finishing up the Tithonus project this weekend

Spent a few days in the rainforest and on the coast with the boy and the 110

watching elk from the roof tent

I thought the uk has been essentially socialist since world war ii when the tax rate was 100%?

My understanding is that the uk income tax rate has pretty much steadily declined since 1945, and only recently has the tax rate been argued up and down via the politicians.
