Got it--this just in from Madman:

------
I added Canada and Mexico :-) I will assume all USA/Canada/Mexico wishlists are part of the DS arrangement.

OK folks, the system's about ready for orders, and Brian says he'll have some EMS2s in stock on Friday.

When you make your order, DO NOT PAY-- finalize the order, enter the coupon code and select "bank payment or "pay on collection" and proceed to complete the order, then your order will be picked safe.

Brian will update all the prices tonight, but don't panic. He will apply the old prices to the coupon orders manually and send a credit card payment link.

Thanks, folks.

Does this discount apply only to the EMS2? I have an EMS1 in my wish list.
I also need to find out if the vehicle specific kit for 300Tdi will work on an HS2.8. I would think it would work.

all the sensors are the same as a 300tdi, but there is no egr blanking plate on a 2.8. you'll have to tap the exhaust manifold for the egt probe.

For what it is worth, most sensors can be purchased from Egauges at a lower cost for people in the USA. some of the speciality ones like a coolant level alarm sensor should be purchased from MadMan. Not everything is going to be plug and play. You will need to figure out how to install some items.

I suspected as much, but figured I'd just spring for the 300TDi kit and not have to do any guesswork; by the time I buy all the pieces/parts from possibly several vendors, I figured I might be into it for nearly the ~$150 the vehicle specific kit will set me back.

I don't plan on using the coolant level leads that go in the expansion tank, though, so if someone wants to DIY on the senders, i'd be happy to send those to you. (I'm using Madman's 1/2BSP sensor that goes up by the top rad hose so I can switch to an Allisport aluminum expansion tank at some future date).

PS--I believe EMS1s are in stock now, so for folks (like me) that are getting one of those, no need to wait until Friday; all should be set up tomorrow. Do follow the instructions re. payment, though, so Brian can send you a cc bill for the discounted amount.

OK, folks, the deal is now effective; I just used it to get 765 Rand off my order (which in my case worked out to almost completely offset the shipping cost).

There are EMS1s in stock, so those of you who who want one of those can order away. EMS2 wanters, there should be some stock on Friday; until then you can build your wishlists.

I'm thinking I might get one of these after all. Even if it is redundant, that can't be bad. And the alarms would be a good thing even if I don't use the live read out much.

What issues might be in store for someone running say, an EGT in analog form now, switching over to this, or piggybacking on the sender?

I too would like to piggyback the EGT and water temperature. Will that work? I'm guessing not.

I just tried to order mine, and it won't let me add the ems2 to the cart due to out of stock.

I bought mine just before the deal but at the price paid plus the current exchange rate, still was a great deal. And shipping was fast, showed up from DHL last week. Looking forward to putting this in when the weather improves

Mark,
Roger, only in-stock stuff can be added to the cart. More EMS2s are due in on Friday, according to Madman, so you may be able to snag one then.

Also, if you save everything to a wishlist, it'll get your foot in the door and you'll get the discounted price, even if you're not able to finalize an order before the end of the month due to low stockage.

Dave,
Honestly totally unqualified to answer that question--I'd hit sales@madman.co.za with it.

For what it's worth there are three places one can use for water temp senders--above the t-stat, next to the t-stat (left front side of engine--this is where the dash gauge in a Disco 300TDi reads) and middle of the block, left side top, which is not used on my engine, although there's clearly a sender in there. So water shouldn't be too hard to get a sender in for, no matter what you're running. EGT, I just dunno.

Received a message from Brian this morning mentioning that the ESM2 are delayed until next week. Just in case you were wondering.
