Madcowdungbeetle's Epic East Coast Road Trip Adventure

This spring I'll be driving from Charlotte, NC to Rockland, Maine and back to pay a vist to ECR and pickup parts for my D90 rebuild along the way. I haven't picked dates yet, but it will probably be mid-April.

I'll be driving my full-size quad cab Tundra so I'll have room to haul parts for D-90 members, as I make my way from the land of sweet tea and biscuits to the rover Mecca.... East Coast Rover, I mean ECR, sorry Rover don't sue. I'll be running a 2 level cradle in the bed of the tundra, the top level built to fit a D90 tub (hint, hint) and the bottom level open for whatever can fit in there, seatboxes, bulkheads, axles, etc..

I'll be able to bring some smaller items coming back, exactly how big/small will be up in the air, as all my goods will take #1 priority, but I'll update this with my final load space and haul what I can fit coming back.

If I'm going to haul some stuff for you all I ask is a cash donation for gas, and that you meet me close the HWY so I don't have to kill too much time navigating unfamiliar territory....this however does not apply if you're a cute single D90 girl, I'll come to you. Awesome food/beer and a place to crash will also sway me, if you can combine all of these I'll probably never leave.

I'll be making a hard run to Maine, and then hopefully take my time coming back. I'm going to hit LI, NY, DC, Allentown, PA, some place in Connecticut where my new bulkhead is. I'm hoping to meet and see some of the D90 crew along the way. Those that know me or have met me, you know what's up.

Do you still want the seat-box when you come to LI?

If you're in Allentown, keep on coming across 78 towards Hershey and we'll grab a beer at the Troeg's Brewery. Or my shop...

You are welcome to stop by my place if you want. You can even crash here if that helps.

Carter, I'm right in the area in DC (literally right off I-95). If you need a pit-stop and/or a place to crash for the night my door is open. And as someone else pointed put the NOVA Happy Hour is the third Thursday...and just a few miles from my house.

I've got a front bumper sitting in Durham waiting for a haul up to Long Island. If it works out I'm more than happy to help defer your fuel cost.

Alright.

I'll be heading out of Charlotte on Monday, and hoping to be in Maine by Tuesday night, Wednesday at the latest. I'm going to work on my route tomorrow and I'll post it. So anyone along the way that needs something hauled North, speak up now, and I'll see what I can arrange. I'll need your location, where it's going, and relevant contact info. Unfortunately this trip is going to have to be quicker than I had originally planned (damn you work) so I'll need people to meet me along the highway, I can't do any jaunts off the beaten path.

If you don't mind, snap a few pix of my NAS110 for me. I left her there before my deployment and haven't made it back to see her yet!
