Cool Lust.....

What do you guys think this will sell for? Seems to be an incredible restoration. If you look at the pics, there's a nice gray market 110 with a for sale sign in the window in some of the shots.

Yes indeed, there was quite a bit of time and $ invested there. I like when the frames are black instead some shiny galvy personally.

Wow - it also helps that the photographer has some decent skills. Same rig, with a crappy photographer wouldn't look so good.

$35k is a lot, even with the immaculate resto. The book value on that model with a full resto is about $20-$25. I'm not trying to take anything away from the hard work and dedication that went into that truck but $35k seems a little high to me especially if you consider the economy. Hope he doesn's sell it for that much so I stand a shot!

It is not that immaculate. Lights in front are wrong, the rear tub has some ghetto patches at the back, the radiator is wrong and does not have a schroud, wheels are wrong, seats are wrong, badge in back is wrong (only SW had the bottom part), rear tub floor has been replaced by diamond plate, no tailgate chains, seals are wrong, the bulkhead repair is not that great, no fuse box cover, exhaust hanger is way mispositioned, he ran the electrical wires under the tub instead of through the frame, grill is missing a few bars in the corner, he put the rear brake 3-way piece on wrong, and I am sure there is more.

All that being said, it is a nice looking truck, but it is not a perfect restoration.

Thanks Ron, I wanted to post some stuff, but I figured everyone would flame the hell out of me. Did you notice the heavy peel in the paint inside the truck?

Ron,
Thanks for talking me out of it and breathing some sense on to those pretty photos.

I would say it is and old Def. that has been rebuilt, probably a 1983-1985. Anyone else check out the rest of Markieboys photos. obviously he a a professional wedding photographer. But that Gilbert bride is waaay too skinny! hope she had some wedding cake. her arms and legs look like twigs. not that I am judging!

I'm happy to see it go higher as my 1961 Series II 88 will be on the market soon and it's at least as nice as this one.

I talked to a friend down in Hilton Head who told me this guy recently took out a full page ad in one of the local magazines for both of these trucks. He's never seen them around the Island, though he says the 110 has a Port Royal Plantation sticker in the pictures.
