LR3 - Split Dash over SRS

New listing. Clean low mileage two owner 06' LR3 that spent most of its life in FL and NC before recently moving to VA. Is this split dash common or a sign that it lived parked outside? Any cheap fixes (note -- not interested in fuzzy dash pads or electrical tape)?

Isn't that scored like that for the airbag?

Yes, that is the score for the SRS but the score split.

Good meeting you last night, Russell. You may have found this: http://www.landroverworld.org/forums...ad.php?t=19479

Seems to be a known issue, more common in high temp/sun environments.

For reference, my 06' has spent a fair amount of time outside and in sun without any damage.

Sorry, I need another cup of coffee. Mine is about to split there too. I put a dash pad over it and forgot about it. It's just too hot here in Florida to even worry about a new dashpad.

Ross, nice meeting you as well. Thanks for the link. I'll peruse that forum as well.
Split dash.... guess I'll need to add that to my list of questions prior to checking these trucks out. LOL

Having been a victim of the wavy D1 dash I'm not pleased that this piece of Discovery service history has in its own way continued.

Its fairly common. The only fix I know of is replacing the dash, which isn't too bad.
