Question LR3 Radiator Drain Plug

Hmm...I was told the LR3 had two radiator suppliers, one having a drain plug and the other not.
Has anyone come across this? Here is a pic from my radiator...is this a drain plug? It's located on the passenger side lower corner in front of the alternator.

Cheers...

I would be afraid to remove that plug.

Why? Perhaps it may be brittle and crack?

I'd be worried that it would break off or leak after removal. There are better ways to drain or flush the cooling system.

Ok, what method do you recommended?

To drain I would just pull the lower hose. To flush, I would remove the small hose to the expansion tank and route it into a bucket. Run the engine and fill the reservoir as the water pump pushes the old coolant out of the upper hose.
