Lr3 from Tulsa Oklahoma to Fredericksburg Virginia

RURR...Before I pay a shipper anyone want to move a lr3 from Tulsa Oklahoma to Fredericksburg Virginia within the next two weeks.

Or know reasonable/reputable transporters?

Quotes so far from $750-950.

I love road trips. But until I'm released back to work, I'm restricted from flying.
That is, unless the doctor releases me this week.

I haven't shipped vehicles very often does 800 sound normal?

A plane ticket and gas on the way back would be close to shipping quotes

I'm two hours from Tulsa, and I'd drive it for you, but I doubt you'd save very much money.

220 miles round trip from my house to tulsa - $20
1222 miles from tulsa to you - $200 (maybe more or less depending on gas prices and fuel economy, I assumed 15mpg at $2.50 per gallon, an LR3 might get better)
Flight from DCA to TUL $315
Parking in economy lot at TUL $6 per day
And of course, I'd need some Mt. Dew or Dr. Pepper and maybe a meal or two. I'm pretty sure I could spend the night for free at my buddy's house in Nashville, so I wouldn't really need a hotel.

Have you tried getting a quote from uship.com? Also, I've had a good experience with Showroom Transport.

Minus 20 hours of your life. Add in a hotel stay, food, etc. Driving it yourself is a lot more expensive.

$800 is decent from OK to VA. You won't find much less. If $800 is door to door with insurance, I'd book it.

Yeah I just confirmed with them, all inclusive, door to door, insured. Same company that moved it from Gooses place to Tulsa. Ironic.

Call Athena Hall... (954) 892-6905.
In October '14, I shipped a 110 from NJ to Dallas for $1,100. Athena handled everything. She is great and love us 'crazy Defender guy'.

When I told her I had a Land Rover to ship, her first question was 'is it a Defender 90 or 110?' I had to pause, as it called me off guard.

I used her after the many recommendations from others that have used her. Oh, and she has a great voice! Good luck.

I'd be game for a roadtrip! But I'm not sure with a flight & gas you'd be getting off that much cheaper.

Alan is a transporter Ive used to shuttle my 110 all across the US. He has shipped a few defenders for this board as well. Always went the extra mile and very cheap as well He's based out of Roanoke. Best thing is that with him your dealing directly with the him (driver) and not a broker as is the case with most shippers.

Adam,

Ironic indeed

The quotes you are getting are spot on, make sure to let them know of the Roof Rack, as they need to place it on top rail ( spot 7 or 8 ) or the low rail spot 3 or 4 )

Good luck , and look forward to see her again in the area

Yes and yes. I'll be rolling in the Disco though.
The 110 needs some love before I'll head anywhere in it.

See you there.
