Two things. What is in the box suspended from the bottom of the roof rack and I love how the woman with the stroller is looking at it.

Its a Jerry Can holder, I personally don't like it and will be taking it down very soon.

Thanks for the good comments !

Interesting. Willow Green is not listed as a '97 Defender color on that chart.

Balmoral Green

Can someone confirm if they used Balmoral Green in the movie "The Queen" (see pic)? Supposedly thats the color of the (real) queen's defenders.

Once you have the paint code, then what? Where do you order swatches/samples? And if you want a local shop to paint the color, what do they need?

Every paint code I've ever taken to a body shop, they were able to get the right paint from their supplier using the LR code.

Cool! Didn't know that. Thanks Jim.

How about seeing the actual color in person? Swatches or rattle can samples?

If it was sold on a US vehicle (and most LR colors have been here on Rangies, Discos, or F-Landers) then there will be a swatch in a book supplied by some manufacturer. Some are nice and have a hole in the middle of the swatch so that you can hold it over a panel and gauge the similarity.

It will cost a few bucks, but you have have them shoot a test panel if you're still trying to make up your mind.

Balmoral Green?

Reviving an old thread - this 84 has been re-sprayed, I'm guessing over in England before it was imported back in 08 - just wondering if anyone can say which color?
