It's love and hate for me. I love it to death but hate the fact I break it far too often and don't have the time to get it back running quick enough.

Fortunately I used to own an Opel GT with an assortment of problems so I don't find my truck's problems out of the norm

I'd die laughing if someone actually jumped into the truck and started it up only to get a back fire.

But, despite my wife's best efforts I just can't bring myself to do it.

I love the D90. Its easy to work on, i.e. you don't have to wade through a slough of facia to modify something. It's basic. I like that.
My sister just got a new FJ and the damn thing is awesome....Wouldn't trade my D90 for it but it is a sweet ride.

.
I'm in the same boat. Even though I love D90's and want to buy one I just can't see myself doing this all over again so the FJ or the 4dr Rubi is looking very good to me right now. The only problem is my Disco is worth nothing and hate to just give it up. Only time will tell.

I'm willing to bet everyone would love their D90 a lot more if they knew they posessed all of the following: 1) The apptitude, patience and ability to service/modify and repair the rig by themselves. 2) An access to cheap / affordable rover parts 3) Access to a cheap bodyshop that specializes in aluminum panels 4) Envy from foreign tourists that tear at the eye from their rover memories after looking at yours.
