Lost Opportunity

Land Rover should have commercials themed with the brand's all weather capability right now on all major channels. From what I've seen, they are still using normal advertising, themed in luxury.

They are missing the boat, for all these cities that are paralized in snow and ice (like Atlanta).

WTF?

I really liked the advertising they had in the 90's, that really promoted the strength of the brand.

all the local ATL news channels have been showing a video/pictures of a RR that slid off the road and into a pole. great advertising. also showed a BMW that was spinning its wheels so furiously that it somehow caught fire and burned to the ground, love that one.

I saw the bmw one. hillarious.

LR is too busy sending letters to indie/local shops with the name "rover" in it to figure out how to advertise correctly.

I read something like this year's temps were 2 degrees (again I read this last week, so my number could be off) hotter than average on record.

The snow thing has been done (overdone actually) by jeep and their new grand Cherokee that you can't see through the snow it's driving in.

Personally I think some of Jarek's YouTube videos of him driving through the snow-covered Pine Barrens with his kid and wife loving every moment are some of the best advertising material. "Great in all elements...even with the racing tires we put on our 18's." -Land Rover Range Rover

The sad truth is that LR wants people like the three media-whores sisters to be driving their trucks...

LR could care less about the snow, sand or dirt... they just want people to buy the +$80k RR.

The dealer here is on Facebook a lot and posted an invite for test drives after we got 16 inches of snow. Something like "tell your neighbor who is stuck in the snow to come on down...perfect day for a test drive." I was too busy digging the Sport out from being stuck in our driveway to tell anyone :-(
