Question Look'n @ an LR3

I'm looking to get an LR3 for my wife as we are starting a family. Here's the specs:
2008 LR3 SE Grey
26000 miles
Black leather
Front L/R/A bar with two L/R fog lights
Singe owner
No Nav
No heavy duty package
Looks to be in excellent condiition. Test drove it. Runs well.
Asking $31000

Is this a good deal?

Thanks...

Probably so. LR3 is a great car. We bought a 05 LR3 SE two years ago with 55k miles from Red Mountain Rovers in B'ham. It now has 104k miles on it and we really havent had any problems with it. Its solid and reliable (knock on wood). Buy it and be happy.

Thanks. The EAS scares me a bit...but d@mn it's a sweet ride...
Does the LR3 have the same rust problems as the Defenders? I have read the body panels are galvy which is great, but what about the frame?

Cheers...

I've got an '05 LR3 HSE that now has 112,000 miles on it. The only real problem I had with it was wayyy back when she was new, the air compressor had issues. Apparently it was a wide spread problem on the 05s as they re-designed the whole assembly then let out a TSB for it.

Since then, been a rock solid truck, and that includes going out in the dirt and mud at least once a month. No signs of slowing down.

I know one of the independents here in San Diego was actually forlorn about the reliability of the LR3s, as its hurting his business! They have only had one come in on a trailer, and that was because the battery exploded and the acid ate away at the Battery Junction Box, one of the most important bits of electronics on the rig.

Get the extended warranty if you can. I think it would be well worth it.
We have an 05 with 60K now.

We had to replace the air compressor recently and since owning it new tie rods and other "wear out items"

I like the LR3 and it's been the most dependable Land Rover we've owned. That says alot

Seems a little high. My brother bought a new 2008 right after the 2009s started to arrive and drove it away from the Cinci dealer for $38k.

That was for a brand new 2008. New 2009 models were on the lot and they wanted it gone.
