Look what the big ship brought

Picked this up for a board member here today. I see and touch a lot of trucks but REALLY like this one. Love the color blue, the galv chassis, central locking and power windows, came over with an a/c kit not yet installed. I even like the 17 inch Mach 5's. The Puma bonnets are still growing on me. Seeing more and more of them but don't get it if the tdci engine isn't underneath.

sweet looking truck! My dad is heading to Germany for a week on Monday for business then England to visit family. I just sent him a nice long email with important terms such as "TDI" and pictures of trucks similar to what I want. Hopefully he will come across something close to my uncle so he can use his political powers to "acquire" it. So maybe i'll need your services when my dad returns.

The truck is mine and my business partners for now. One of us may end up keeping it but if not it might show up for sale.

Is this coming in via the 25-year rule? No, I'm not trying to start an argument.

Since it has a "B" registration number and a galvy chassis it is a rebuilt 25+ year old truck. Search "points system" in the what's legal thread for an explanation.

The provenance of the truck was apparently notable. The build thread was written up in one of the rover mags although I haven't seen the article. ZU's I stand corrected. It was amazing on a hot day to get out of the white 127 with no window tint and jump into the dark blue truck with tint- massive difference @ least 20 degrees cooler in the tinted truck. Granted some of that is from residual drivetrain heat but, the 127 had been sitting for 2hrs shut down-its making me want tint.

That is quite likely. It will be a daily driver / company truck for one of us so it will be attending events as well
