I'm not a huge fan of "restyled" vehicles but I like it.

The front is good, but a v-12 would have been betterer..
I don't dig the rear though

I love this thing and will totally build one given half a chance. I'm thinking Rolls-Royce B80 straight 8 power.

Weren't these special builds for some Saudi Prince or something. IIRC there were like 9 of them built.

No, there's just been two of them. The "alphatier" (alpha animal) and the "Aqaba." Maybe a prince bought number two, I dunno, but the original was at a dealer near Munich for awhile. I don't know if it is still there, I never had the time to go check it out.

I knew it was "Custom," but I didn't know it was an "in house" custom build! I thought it was just some random guy with a mountain of cash and an interesting perspective! ;-)

Just a regular Rover V8? That is stupid.

It wasn't a Rover V8 originally. They wanted to put a Rolls Royce Merlin engine in it. The Germans objected (hard feelings perhaps) and a Rover V8 was dropped in instead.

It was originally built 8-10 years ago.... Bell Aurens Longnose Turns Land Rover Defender Into Roadster
