Saturdays are best for me but Sundays might be doable as well. I would suggest somewhere around Nassau/Suffolk border since it seems we've got people out east and west Long Island, but I don't mind driving far if someone knows a good place to meet.

yea i agree, i dont mind but i am just trying to see where, because most of the offroading spots on long island are illegal and it wouldn't be great to have 20 or so land rovers go somewhere illegal.

Let's see who else chimes in with suggestions. Probably not a good idea to make it a wheeling meetup as some might not want to get their rigs dirty lol!

I dunno. Some random parking lot seems a bit too "honda civic" to me....

Maybe something like Heckshire State Park? Could get some hiking/paddling in at the same time if so inclined.

That's a LOOOONG drive for some guys. It's only 1.5 hrs for me, but from somebody in Queens it could be prohibitive. That's why I was thinking something more centrally located.

You can't go wrong with Huntington Village or Cold Spring Harbor, close to the Nassau/Suffolk boarder.

There's a nice public lot right in cold spring across from the water that would make a good spot...

im down for the CSH lot its about a 30 sec drive for me and that would fit in really nicely with SATs and sports over the next few weeks.

If I could suggest a Sat the 21st in the morning....Weekends are always tough but earlier in the day might be best. I'm just saying..
Also, the public dirt lot across from the water in Cold Spring Harbor should be a good spot unless someone has a better suggestion.

AmityD90 is away this week and I'm sure he would want to chime in as well.
