I'm enjoying a Shiner Holiday Cheer right now. Actually pretty good for a fruity beer...

Greg Schirf offering

Wasatch Brewing....new offering....Switch, barrel aged ale. 18 month aged in port barrels 8.8%. I think it is very reminiscent of a farmhouse ale. Sweet, but delicious and I am a hop head.

Is Pappy a relative of Heddy Topper from The Alchemist? Kidding....I know what it is like to source those beers you love.

Now I am having a Hop Rising from Squatters Brewing. A good go-to for hops.

Pappy Van Winkle Family reserve is arguably the worlds finest bourbon and only released in small batches twice a year.

Hmm, sounds like Pliny the Elder from Russian River Brewing(although beer cannot really realistically be compared to bourbon in regards to rareness or exclusivity - in most circles). I will check and see if we can get it here in Utah. Not usually a bourbon guy but like trying new stuff and if nothing else it would be good to have in the cupboard. My apologies sir, if I offended.

Doug, your best bet is to make very good friends with someone who operates a liquor store in your area. I'll give a call to a few of our guys next week and see if they'll part with anything, but I wouldn't count on it...

edit: if anyone wants to add a bit of spirit to your Christmas, order one of these...should make any in-laws manageable for at least a few hours!
