mostly whiskey, some rum, gin, vodka...trying to sort out some Pinot-aged akavit this week.

we finish/bottle a bourbon as well, it's pretty popular...but I don't actually distill it.

Becherovka is totally underrated.

Was able to get my hands on a bottle of 15yr Pappy from my neighborhood ABC store here in Virginia Beach. I talked to the manager and left my contact info and about a year later I got the call.

If you enjoy bourbon check out Bullet and Rare Eagle.

As far as craft beers go I am partial to draft IPAs. There are two in particular that I have really enjoyed, Maharaja made by Avery seasonally (avail now) and Ballast Point's Sculpin!

do absolutely nothing, do not ruin it with any superfluous substances. a small ice cube if absolutely necessary.

edit: maybe add a cigar, if that's your thing?

Ok. I will throw it in the freezer and serve it in a frosted mug.

I need to try and find some of these bourbons. Our local whiskey bar may have some pappy.

Got lucky last night at the local Virginia ABC. Someone decided that they did not want the special order that they waited 6 months for. I ended up with two bottles of the Stagg.

If anyone is in NYC, Eleven Madison Park has the most astonishing, ridiculous collection of Pappy that you will ever see.

Yamazaki is very good. I also like the Hibiki from Suntory...

Pappy is good, but the hype (at least out here in OR) is unreal.

The hype is absurd. My local source keeps two people on the Pappy's list (me and one other guy). I take the young stuff he takes the old stuff. It's a gentleman's agreement the two of us (customers) worked out.

Somebody stole a bunch of 20 year Pappy's. This is not good.
