You won't find Pappy on the store shelf. If any store has any left it's " in the back".
When I picked mine up I had to go during the hours that the keeper of the list worked. He went in the back and brought out my bottle. I Didn't get to see any other bottles and had to sign a form that I picked it up. I was just glad to get it.
I'm also fond of Makers and Bulleit

Pappy is a little spendy....

I talked to my local store. They said that stuff can run $200 plus a bottle. They ordered in September and was supposed to get some this month. The distribution house that carries it for the North East got hammered with the hurricane and lost 10M in booze...

I talked to the lady at our local ABC store about Pappy's last night. She said their board which consists of about ten stores got maybe fifteen bottles and they were all spoken for before they even arrived. I'll have to try to get on the next list.

Well I was already striking out here in Virginia where the state controls ABC distribution and handles all retails sales through state run stores. Seems I have peaked a few others interest tough...

Check out www.clearcreekdistillery.com. I love their Kirschwasser and their McCarthy’s Oregon Single Malt Whiskey. Great place to visit if in Portland too. They have a tasting room and do distillery tours. Once or twice a year they have orchard tours where they grow the Pears in bottles for their brandy. Good folks.

Basil Haydens A nice small batch bourbon from one of the larger distillerys. Named after a good ole southern maryland boy.
