Have you had the single barrel 120 proof?

No offense @ all. Love micro brews myself. Had two quarts of Starr Hill Festie draft last night.

I like it in the winter time, I seem to drink a lot of gin when its warm out. I have not had the single barrel.
One of our local brewerys did a habanero porter last year, I am not sure they will do it this year which is a bummer. It was extrodinary.

Awesome thread, I hope to find some of these beers at my local bottle store. if there is anything I can send anyone from the NC area I will, there are so many seasonal beers this time of the year.

another favorite Virginia micro is Starr Hills Cryptical Imperial Stout.
Maybe its my Scotch Irish genetic make up but I love stouts. This is another limited release brew but the chocolaty taste is incredible when on draught, I'm salivating for the stuff as I type @ 8:30 am...

There IS a beers thread in the cooking corner. Maybe this one should go in that area as well.

Josh,
Do you find that it changes taste if the bottle lasts too long?
I can tell the difference in a bottle of Makers that has been opened for awhile.
Just curious.

Three of a kind. Pappy's is fine. But for everyday can't go wrong with Maker's 46.

Doug. I have one bottle of pappy 15 left and a ton of 20. I will split the 15 with you (better than roaches) if you end up my way or I can part with a couple bottles of 20.

I'll have to find some Pappy's. I've been enjoying bourbons for a while now but never have seen that one. I think so far my favorite is Woodford.
