Custom made. Goals:
- removable winch
- strong
- does not affect approach angle further than stock
- 2" receiver
- cheap

Originally, the winch attached to the 2" receiver. This created a nice v8-powered spoon... So I moved it above the bumper. Works MUCH better now.

Devon 4x4, don't have a winch yet though. Good approach angle and somewhat stock look on the ends.

I personally like the Bearmach bumper without the bull bars.

In some of these pictures with synthetic ropes, it appears the supplied heat guard is being used as a chafe guard. The heat guard is used for the first wrap around the drum to protect the rope from against abrasion and heat from the drum.

Are you referring to my setup? If so, thanks. I'll fix it. Didn't know it was a heat guard.

Not sure about yours, but one or two just posted by Josh do not look right.

Here is a nice cheat sheet: http://www.masterpull.com/how-to-ins...ic-winch-line/

In my picture, I verified that is the chafe guard and not the heat sleeve.

BTW, to the questions: can it take hits? The answer i got yesterday is yes. (To the point where the ignition kill switch triggered). Can it take repeated hard hits? Yes (I did not see that rock... ).

Can't beat the SG bumper...but admittedly for the 130 I'm planning to have Rockware do a "blade" style bumper for me with no brushguard/etc.
