Lego Land Rover

Hi there, hope you don't mind me posting this on here. Myself and my son have built a Lego Land Rover and have submitted it to Lego Ideas. If we can get 10,000 supporters then Lego will consider it as a potential product. Please have a look, see what you think and if you like it then please register with Lego Ideas and press support. It takes about 5 minutes as you have to register your email so they know all are legitimate votes! Bit of a pain but you can tick the box so you don't receive newsletters as that can put people off we have been told but it is a quick process.

Feedback is welcome and if you do support us we really do appreciate it and hope you will spread the word. We are just approaching 3,000 supporters now and can say people have been really positive about it. We even had a tweet from Land Rover!

I have attached a photo and above is where you can find more info and register

Thank you, we do appreciate it! It works when I click on link so not sure what's going on. You can just type in Lego Ideas and put 116805 in search box which should take you to our model. Let me know if you still have any problems as we don't want to miss out on any votes!

Very nice! Lots of good details. Love the curved sides and that little engine!

I built one over Christmas break a few years ago. Not as detailed, but still looked OK.

I'd say your design could use a bit of a lift and proportional tire size increase. Looks a bit low-rider at the moment.

Thank you for your feedback. We have lifted it slightly which you can see on our update on Lego Ideas page due to previous feedback - we do listen

Glad you like it though. As you will know having made one it takes quite a bit of time to make and we are still trying to improve it. Just finishing off another model to post eventually so let us know what you think

Voted. Hopefully JLR doesn't bitch about naming rights.

this was tried a few years back, and it didn't get to the 10K number required. Was something like 6-7K at the 11th hour. BUT - with the demise of the Defender looming....who knows. Good Luck. I hope this time it works!

Thank you for supporting us. If we manage to get the votes then hopefully Lego would sort out any name issues but we are going to contact them ourselves to see if they would support us as we did have a tweet from them!

Thank you, we hope so too. Feedback has been good so far and we also have a Defender update coming soon which we hope will also help.

From what I remember there was at least one other series or defender that hit the threshold a year or two ago but was never sold as a bundled product.

Yes think it was the large scale technic model which was really good but was maybe too expensive to do which is one reason we kept ours to the scale of the campervan and mini and now the Ferrari that Lego do produce. Who knows, we can but try which is what we will carry on doing and hope for the best and try to get people to support us.

Lego Land Rover update - the Defender!

Here is our update for our Lego Ideas project - the Defender! There are more photos on the update page on Lego Ideas. As there is not a huge brick difference it could possibly be a 2 in 1 kit. Please support and share to help us get those supporters on Lego Ideas. 😀
