landy-spares.com

Has anyone ever done business with this place. It seems to be pretty well priced so I thought I would check.
Thanks,
Mike

Prices do seem pretty good. I have never bought anything from overseas, I alway thought the shipping would offset any savings.

EXACTLY...get it by airmail and you will likely spend more $ on S/H than the part you ordered !!
Get it via cargo on a ship and its still outlandish, plus it will take an eternity to get to you !

I know..I had send my folks some stuff over to Germany for Christmas and the shipping was ridiculous to say the least

I suppose it is what you are shipping. I order from Paddock Spares out of the UK all the time and it saves a lot of money. As long as you order groups of items and not just a single item it's really not that bad. My last order with Paddock Spares consisted of two diff covers and a skid plate along with some small items and it cost 50.00 pounds ($75.00) to ship. I recieved the items in about 10 days. That particular order saved me about $300.00.

I've ordered some stuff from the UK. One thing to watch out for is that the shipping method used by UK shippers often ends up requiring a signature.

Not that this is a bad thing -- just something to be aware of. It caught me off guard a couple of times.

Royal Mail is typically the fastest, cheapest method, believe it or not.

That's true. I asked a couple of my sellers the price difference between Royal Mail and 'slow boat' mail. The difference in cost was negligible with a significant time difference.
