Land Rovers of Peru

This September I took a trip to Machu Pichu. Tons of Toyota Hi-Luxes, though I did see a couple Landies here and there. In Lima I chatted up a retired combat photographer who had a Santana. He liked to drive it around the high deserts of the Andes. Also spotted a white Series.

Oh, I was traveling strictly by local transport: mini-busses, trains and hiking. Machu Pichu is accessible through a 3-day hike or by a train ride to the nearest town Aquas Calientes.
