land rover vs grizzly

for those of you who have wondered who would win between a land rover and a grizzly bear check out this story from the anchorage daily news http://www.adn.com/news/alaska/story/502266.html
they dont show the vehicle but it was definitely not a defender because they mention airbags deploying.

smart guy, wound a grizzly with your truck and then get out of the truck and stand around. sounds like he was lucky.

The comments section following the article has a few chuckles.

I agree...what an idiot to get out of the car after hitting it (with it bumbling around and growling). I'd sit in my pee pants and wait for the fuzz to show up.

I like the comment about 50' from a Griz, and not even knowing it. And I thought catching a deer midair on a motorcyle at 50 mph was scarey.....scared that he wouldn't die and tromple me with those hoofs!!

I flipped a series 2A because of a deer when I was 16 @ 55mph. The deer that have run in front of my Harley fat boy have not gotten the same consideration. Take my chances tagging one rather than roll end over end three times again.

Yep...tagged one near Telluride a few years ago in my Lexus LX 470 - of course the only vehicle I owned at the time that did not have a steel winch bumper on it. Sucker bounced into a ditch...popped back up...and jumped over a fence and kept going. Luckily he didn't do a ton of damage to the Toyo...err...Lexus.

The one time I dodged one was on a foggy morning in the '95 Classic...back in '99 or '00...still had EAS and was totally stock. I was able to swerve around him without losing it (on a four lane divided highway). It scared me so bad I decided never to try to dodge one again.

Geez makes the deer that literally bounced off my drivers front tire then had the nerve to look at me like I was the asshole that hit him. He skidded into my stopped truck.
