Land Rover Storage?

Hello Newbie to Forum,

Quite a bit of great information on this site. I have gotten a great education on here in a short amount of time. I have been a long time admirer of the D90 and I am in a position to pick up one. Like many of you, I like my toys and currently have a garage full that I am not willing to part with. I want a bigger garage but that is waging a bigger battle with the better half, in the mean time I wanted to find out if storing a D90 outside in the South East is really going to take a tool on it. I have read that rust is the kiss of death and the few examples that I have looked at to buy that has been one of the main things that I have searched for. I wanted to know if keeping it outside is going to send it to an early grave? I plan on getting a weather proof cover like a NOAH but wanted to know if I am setting myself up to fail on this.

Thanks in advance for your comments

When i lived in Charlotte for three years i never had a garage. Still runs. Mostly. Seriously though, it only goes in the garage when it is to be worked on. Probably would be better for the Top than the truck to be in a garage or under a cover.

land rovers last over 30 years in the UK which is miserable, cold salty and damp without too much trouble ... keeping it out of the rain and treating any early signs of rust you'll be fine ...

I am the original owner of mine. Live in Maryland. Always had to keep it outside for the same reasons. Tried to keep on top of any rust that appeared over the years. Cosmetically it is not perfect - but it Seems to be doing OK. Still running fine...........
