Land Rover haircut

Depreciation is expected. But I've seen quite a few newer RR's taking a big haircut on resale.
What is a typical rate of depreciation on a LR?
On this example, it looks like trade in value would be 33k less than purchase price, damn!

I would expect 26k miles driven in a year to be the exception rather than the norm, so that one has likely depreciated a bit more than others.

All new cars are made of hydroformed aluminum, plastic and microchips. They're only designed to look good on the showroom floor. Therefore they tank in value. Buying a used one in a few years won't do you any good either because only the dealer can work on it in the future and they'll probably end up calling it obsolete after 10 years and stop providing service.

This is why I have no problem dumping money into a 110 build. I'll lose more buying a new RR. At least I have something cool that's fun to drive.

If I were in the market for a new daily driver I'd lease an Escalade or Grand Cherokee, never wash it and dump it back on the dealer in 2 years.
