I went to Solihull in 2006 and it was great. I did two days of tours. The first day was a factory tour which included half a day of driving new Land Rovers on their off road course. The second day I did the heritage tour which was also a lot of fun. The heritage tour included driving a 1948 Series I on their off road course. I went before I worked for Land Rover (I was 17 at the time) with my family. Everyone at Land Rover was very friendly and I would highly recommend it. The Gaydon plant is where LR2's and Evoques are made, so I would recommend Solihull.
On the trip I got to see some of the first Puma trucks come off the line (no cameras allowed). I also discovered how much better off road a Range Rover or LR3 is than a Defender.
