Land Rover Defender: Production in the UK is stopping in 2015 (it's official now)

Looks like the production will stop in 2015 in the UK. I'll be ordering one in June 2015.

There are deals that have been made to move it somewhere else (with various hints, but no "official" plans) to server markets that do not need that extra EU safety (emissions?) blanket. I hope production is moved to India so we can continue buying parts for a long time. Who knows.... Might even get access to CKD kits....

This has been known for some time. Emissions and crash regs finally kill the old girl.
Time to create private NOS stockpile. Doomsday had arrived.

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.
