Land Rover Cake

I am trying to convince the masses (of one) that I NEED a pink Land Rover Defender 90 cake for our daughter's first birthday. I've googled the idea and haven't found anything that really works. I was hoping someone has done this before and has some photos to help with the cause. I'm not expecting pink- just the truck and a cake.

In my mind it is a mountain with the truck climbing up the side.

As soon as she is big enough we (she and I) are going to convince the masses of the NEED for the Toylander too I swear this kid is going to have the same LR disease I have!

Thanks,
Alex

Target sells the LR match box cars. I have purchased a few D90's and a couple of 110's for about $1. Buy that and a can of pink paint.

3D cake bakers are not all that hard to find but they are expensive. I have a friend that makes them in VT.

My wife made me a cake like this once. She used caramel cubes and rolled them into balls that looked like boulders. Then put a matchbox on top.

I've seen this a few times...all it needs is a replacement of a Defender instead of the 70s Ford/Chevy/International (whatever that is on there). It's awesome because it's a nice cake and the car is just messing it all up!

Awesome timing. I was just married a few weeks ago (5/30) and had a rover groom's cake at the rehearsal dinner. I was gonna wait to post about it until our photographer had finished her 'official' pics but she probably has another week or so getting them touched up.

After the ceremony we drove away in the rover.

That's awesome. Thanks for the photos too. I bet that was the cleanest your truck has ever been.
