I have a feeling Gery (AmityD90) is going to win this one...

Follow-up. They're making you change the "Land Rover - Offroad" (your avata) one or the "Off-Road Lucky 8" (from your site) one or both?

Take out the word "Land" from "Land Rover" in the existing logo.

They can ask, but what are they entitiled to is the issue. Everyone uses "rover" and they sold "rover" so I presume they no longer own the IP rights to the "rover" name. Maybe they trademarked the green oval or whatever. Did they list trademarks?

I understand that I could win the fight over the current logo but at what cost? LRNA was being pretty cool about the whole thing so I dont want to make it into more then it is. Just having some fun with the issue.

Ok, just trying to help. You would probably lose with the "Land Rover" in the logo. I think the logo should encompass buffalo somehow. Too bad I am a terrible artist.

Thanks Josh for the thumbs up! It wouldn't be the first logo I did for a 4x4 parts company
We'll see what I can come up with, but I have been super busy at work and I'm off on a boat trip for the remainder of July.

Justin
Are we limited to specific colors that you would like?
4 color logo or spot color(s) - had to ask or its a waste of time for me design wise.

Also, how many entries are people allowed to submit - and will you be giving feedback to submissions before final decision to tweek the design?

Besides "Lucky 8" and the website, what else is a mandatory?

Gery

I suck at graphic art type things but here is my idea. Not only a logo but a marketing tool as well.

For a logo picture the dice below with Lucky 8 engraved in the middle of the 4 divots on one face of the die in a classy Vegas type font (gold or silver)

As a marketing tool you could send out 2 dice with 4ís on every face, on each face between the 4 divots you could have an upgrade item listed or an off-road destination.

For example

Die 1

Lucky8
Lift
Lockers
Winch

Die 2

Lucky8
Moab
Tellico
Rubicon

It would be a fun advertising tool that the customer would hold onto and might even take to land rover functions.

And they would always come up lucky 8

You can have custom dice made to order and they are not too expensive

My wife is Chinese, 8 is their lucky number. I am Irish and we all know the Luck of the Irish. I mixed the 2 and we have Lucky8. 3 years later we need a new logo.
