Perhaps you aren't getting the predicament of dealing with Billy Bob and the barrier he was trying to throw up, and the degree of difficulty getting him to wrap his mind around why a registration would be in two languages ? ok, pedant that I am.
Great Britain refers to the main island i.e England, Scotland and Wales. (Wales being where God is from )

United Kingdom refers to all the above , plus Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, and the Channel Islands.

At risk of further complicating this discussion Isle of man and Channel Islands are not part of the United Kingdom. They are instead dependent territories of the English crown and have their own forms of self governing, though the U.K. is responsible for many areas of policy, such as defense.
