Keys - so old school

So I just got out of my 90 and realized I was driving with the ignition key to my 110. I guess the British ran out of keys

so much for the theft deterrent anti hotwiring. we can all swap truck at the next rally.
I'm sure the door locks would stop any theft from happening especially on the Soft top models.

We found out that the keys for the German barrier gates that we install will also unlock the hitchpins for our work trailer.

i keep a door key and a ignition key from every vehicle i have ever sold and I have been selling Land Rovers since 1993, so if I have a vehicle with no door keys i can usually find one that works and get copies made.

My door key for my ST works in my SW, in a buddy's 90 and a 2001 TD5... I have not tried the ignition keys yet, but I will.

I must be "lucky" in that my keys to my 90 and 110 are not interchangeable.

I went to a local hardware store to see if they could match the LR key from my old SIII. They found a Mazda blank with the same profile. I took the UNCUT blank outside to see if it would go into the lock. It fit, and also turned the cylinder and unlocked the door. Then I got in and started the car with it. Then they all had to come outside to see it with their own eyes.
