Kalahari D2

I have a customer whose D2 has given it's life protecting their youngest daughter from another driver who inappropriately crossed her path.
Libby's bruised but ok, unfortuantely the Kalahari is bad: air bags deployed, LH side of the car much shorter than the right, frame crumpled.
I've found there were only 150 made in 2002, and this one was in very well maintained condition and extremely presentable.
The owner asked me to write an appraisial for the insurance company, but I'm not entirely sure how to value a limited edition vehicle.
Any suggestions?

DIdnt they have a special interior and safari gard rock sliders as well? I am glad everyone is alright, Land Rovers are some of the safest vehicles on the road.

Oddly enough, Doug, they did not come standard with a roof rack. I remember being quite suprised when they arrived at the dealership,back in the day. They just don't look right without them.

They came with a Saudi front bumper , special seating surfaces, and yes, SG Sliders, if I recall correctly.

This one had a rack at some point in it's life, judging by the marks on the rain gutters. Not present now, andI didn't take it !
Wasn't that long ago that we had re-powdercoated the SG sliders and brush guard, replaced the lamp guards and ladder- no rack, but it was rusty.
The interior is intact- no cabin damage from the accident, so it'll stay weather tight. Well, as weather tight as a Rover....
The impact was left to right across the front. looks like the car rotated to the right on impact. Brush bar, Safari 5000's, Saudi Grille, non-fog bumper all destroyed.

This is the 5th Rover I can recall in recent memory that people walked away with minor injuries, including 3 roll overs: 2 LWB's and a D1.

Saudi Spec Grille and Bumper
Brush Guard with Safari Lights
Ladder
Safari Gard Rock Sliders
Hood Blackout
Gray Typhoon style wheels
Tek Fabric seats with Leatherette Trim
Other custom interior colors (trim pieces and such, nothing special)

There were 350 total produced

Yellow = 150
White = 100
Gray = 100

There will be a "Special Vehicles" badge (not a sticker) on the passenger side of the rear gate, as well as a "Special Vehicles" production badge riveted to the radiator shroud. You cannot BUY these badges without a Special Vehicle VIN.

How to value. Well probably very few left. Base is what is a 2002 D2 worth in that mileage and condition. Plus maybe 20%?

and I remember trying to get a "Special Vehicles" badge from the parts guy, Jason (I think that was his name) of Land Rover Alexandria back in 03 and wondering how we would get around the need for having a VIN from a Kalahari...geez, how sweet it used to be.
