Just Can't Do It

As the desire for NAS D90's seems to be exploding, the number of inquiries I've been receiving about my '97 NAS 90 SW are also increasing. I even got a call out of the blue, yesterday, from a guy who got my number from a friend.

For a few weeks there I thought I might sell mine to get a 110 but the 110's I've been looking at are either very expensive or will need a serious restoration. To add a layer of complexity, there is a difference between what my truck is worth and what it is worth TO ME; which I regard as the "guilt-free price". You know... that number that you'd be stupid to pass up. My guilt-free number is pretty high.

In the end, I would have to:
1) sell my D90 for a lot less than my guilt-free price, and then
2) put that amount (plus much more) to get a 110 in the same condition as my NAS 90

So... I give up!

I'll just enjoy my NAS 90. If I ever win the lottery, I'll go get a clean NAS 110. Until then, I'm good.

I'm about to sell my SW to get a 110! I understand your dilemma!

If you win the lotto you'll need a 110 to haul around all of your new guitars that you'll buy!

I sold my NAS ST to fund my 110 project. There are days that I kick myself for doing it but... when all said and done I will have a vehicle I put together myself and the way I want. Plus with 3 kids and dogs the 90 was a little small. Granted by the time I get my 110 together the oldest will probably have his own wheels.

Now that I have both a 110 and nas st, I would not part with either. Took me 6 years to find and fund my first 110, I wish I had lower expectations and jumped in earlier.

If I were in your shoes, I would keep my nas and get a 110 that you can sort over time and drive while you sort it.

Half the fun is the sorting and if the bar for the new truck is too high, you have no choice but to trade to fund the new dream.

Get what you can afford while keeping your current truck.

Just my $0.02

I could certainly have both. It would just require parting with some guitars. And that, as they say, is just crazy talk.

So, on your death bed, which will you regret more? Keep the guitars and buy a 110, you can work on with your kids.

Do it! Keep the NAS and buy an older LHD 110 and transform it into what Surf110 built.

Not that it matters much but Surf110s was actually a 93 NAS - that said you could definitely transform an older 110 into something like that - a sweet looking rig nonetheless
