I'm a big fan of black wheels. Though I run the stock 21s on the summer, the winter package I use has black 20s. I know this is not a 991 and your's is grey, but black wheels on a white car gives you just enough aggressiveness without being too "bling-bling" or boy-racer. With grey being a toned down color compared to lime green or speed yellow etc., the black wheels will give you the right look without going over the top IMO.

just stop there and for god sake dont ad any valances or wings (unless RUF develops them)

BTW, why must (seemingly) every car I see on eBay that originates in CA have to have chrome wheels?
Chrome wheels belong on hoopdies, not on legit sports cars. - just sayin what's up with that?

On mine it will contrast nicely with the 35% window tint. They told me from today, it will take 3 weeks to mill out from a solid chunk of aircraft grade aluminum and each rim will weigh less than 22lbs. Also he said my offset will be very close to the fenders, unlike the one on these photos which was due to it being a rush job on the photoshoot so they rushed production. He said I will be the first person to have these rims and first person on a 991 since this white 991 is a dealership owned one and they gave the rims back after the shoot.
Love those wheels...similar to the original BMW CSL wheel design. The concave look makes them look amazing.

The 991 already has a wing, you just don't see in my pic because its down. But when I parked in front of the club last Thur I put it up.

As Big Tom Callahan once said "I can get a get a good look a T-Bone steak by sticking my head up a bull's ass, but I'd rather take my butcher's word for it"

I'll have to take your word on that Neil

Neil,

Does the 991 have 2 mufflers in the back like my 911 RS America did (that is the was the C2 & C4s came). The second mufflers was basically to deaden sound - and a useless chunk of weight. If so pull the second muffler, and just add a By-pass pipe (or 'J' pipe).

There is a great page about the RS America here: www.rsamerica.net

I wrote an article on my car about the modifications I did to my engine and exhaust here (if interested):
http://www.rsamerica.net/articles/me...ar_article.htm

------------------------------

Bottom line:
Don't modify anything at first. A Porsche is awesome stock. Learn to drive it stock. Autocross it. Do some driving schools on the track. Modify it slowly over the years - so that you can see and experience the effect of each change. Otherwise the modifications will mean much less.

Flagg, it has 2 side mounted mufflers. I'm not going to touch the exhaust just yet, can't anyway there are no parts available for the 991 right now, not even touch up paint. But when the time comes mabye in half a year, I'll look into it. The good news is, my friend who owns a car dealership said he gets 20% off all parts and accesories (except for labor) at Porsche since he's a dealer. So when the PSE does come out, I'm expecting a nice few hundred dollar discount. Thanks for the advice and well wishes, I will update the post when the wheels get mounted. Cheers!

They need to sell a new RS America. Actually, they need to make the next GT3RS with nothing in it that does not make it go faster.

Ha!

PCCB is light enough. Just get rid of all the junk in the interior. Basically lotus-ize a 991.
