Agree...the 993 was the perfect 911.

Automatic transmission in a porsche is like the no CDL traction control Land Rover. Yes it works well but it just isn't the same. Im not jealous, those cars have gotten way to big, congratulations on the new whip its sharp. I figured in your area you'd have to serve Alfredo sauce with your whip not mustard.

Don't get me wrong I love 911s. I once had the pleasure of driving a 1978 930. Now that was a true Porsche. Scary and fun and there is a good chance I sharted in it.

I'm just not impressed with your purchase or your bragging on a board where people talk about rovers. Now maybe you were bragging to Chris Snell which makes sense since he is worried that the medium income on the board has gone down but for the rest of us it seems pathetic.

You wanted a unique car and you bought a 911 in a town where literally everyone who doesn't have a Prius has one. Actually I bet there is some overlap there. To top it off you bought it with an auto transmission and you bought it in grey. Your street cred is in the toilet. I don't see how this car is going to help you get laid unless you plan to drive out to the clubs in Diamond Bar.

I will say I bet it is fun to throw it in D and whip it around. You're still a tool for getting it.

When are we going for a ride?

I like the front end, but overall the car seems very large and it seemed less curvy compared to the 997.2. In some pictures, it looks like a Ferrari, but in person it doesn’t look like I thought it would. I am a fan of the wide body cars anyway, and those won’t be out for a while.

Now, the new turbo coming out is going to be sick. It’s a “tri-turbo”, with 3 turbos, instead of 2. Now that should be incredible.

I was only joking because Keith hates PMs so much:

I know he's a good guy.

We should all really stop communicating via PM's anyways, since ANYONE at ANYTIME, ANYWHERE might READ them, i.e., members of the sneaky, sinister "SITE TEAM"! (Gasp!) So glad this was brought to my attention in this thread:

http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...eferrerid=3384

Spread the word, but whatever you do, don't do it via PM.

PS - the sky is falling

And if you own a disco we get emails with your PMs directly - it saves us having to go look.

Seriously, I am fascinated by this concept of needing the very latest model and considering a 2 year old one shiit. So what happens in February 2014 Neil? Do you just drop this like a hot potato and move on to the very next *in* thing? What will it be worth then?
